A sport frame is moulded in a single shape. Faces are not. That gap is why so many wraparound sunglasses sit crooked, ride higher on one side, or push the lens flat against the cheekbone — the bridge was cast for somebody else's nose. The Coral Gables fixes it at the only point that decides the fit: two separate pads on short arms that bend to set the height and the angle of the whole frame.

Two people can have the same head width and completely different bridges. A low bridge drops the frame until the lower rim lands on the cheek; a high one lifts it until daylight opens under the lens. A one-piece moulded bridge has one answer for both, and it is usually the wrong one — which is why a frame that fits in the shop can still be pinching an hour into a long effort.

Adjustable pads move two things at once. Spreading them lowers the frame and pulls the lens away from the lashes; closing them lifts it and brings the lens in closer. That controls how far the lens sits from the eye — near enough to cover your peripheral field, far enough that nothing brushes the cheekbone when you smile or the skin moves. The full-rim polycarbonate frame holds both lenses in a fixed plane while you do it, so changing the fit never twists the optics out of line.
