A commute is two different rides wearing the same clothes. You push out under street lights and you finish in flat morning glare off windscreens and shopfronts. The Coconut Grove is picked around that gap rather than around one perfect hour of light.

- Read the surface at both ends of the trip — the clear photochromic lens darkens as the sun comes up instead of forcing you to carry a second pair.
- Take the glare out of low winter sun coming straight down an avenue, using the polarized tint on the mornings that need it.
- Get full UV400 cover on every tint, so the clear lens protects your eyes exactly as much as the dark one does.
- Drop them in a bag between rides without ceremony; TR90 flexes back instead of holding a bend.

Built for the dark-to-light commute
Most sport eyewear is chosen for one light condition. Commuter cycling sunglasses have to cover the whole trip: an unlit start, a low sun that sits directly in the lane, and a bright arrival with reflections coming off glass and wet tarmac. The Coconut Grove answers that with a clear photochromic lens for dark starts, a polarized tint for hard glare, and smoke and blue options for settled daylight. Every one of those lenses blocks 100% of UVA and UVB to UV400, which matters most on the tint you would not think to check — a clear commuting lens is doing the same protective work as a black one. The semi-rimless build leaves the lower half of the lens open, so nothing sits in your sightline when you drop your head to check the road or a stem-mounted computer, and the TR90 frame stays light enough to forget on a forty-minute city ride.

Smoke, blue, polarized or clear photochromic. One of them is right for the light you ride home in, and all of them are 100% UV400. Smoke for the middle of the day, blue for glare, polarized for wet asphalt, and clear photochromic for a start before sunrise.

Presentation box, microfibre pouch and cleaning cloth, packed in with the frame. A pair that lives in a bag five days a week needs the pouch more than most, and the cloth handles what the bag leaves behind. The box is for the pair you are not wearing.
THE FIT
Semi-Rimless, TR90 Light
A TR90 semi-rimless frame that stays out of your eyeline and off your mind. Semi-rimless means no rim under the lens, so there is nothing cutting across the bottom of what you can see. TR90 keeps the weight low enough that you forget you put them on.
THE DETAILS
Polarized Polycarbonate
A polarized polycarbonate lens with an anti-scratch coating, rated 100% UV400. Polarization handles reflected glare rather than brightness on its own, and the coating is what keeps a lens living loose in a bag looking like it has not. Blocks both UVA and UVB.

Yes. Every pair blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays to the UV400 standard. Our eyewear is non-prescription sun protection, not certified safety or medical eyewear.
Frames are TR90, a lightweight and flexible thermoplastic that resists impact and returns to shape. Lenses are polycarbonate or TAC depending on the model, with an anti-scratch coating. The exact specification is listed in the table on this page.
Our eyewear is unisex and cut for adult medium to large head sizes. Most models have an adjustable silicone nose piece to fine-tune how they sit. See the Fit row in the specification table on this page.
Rinse with clean water and dry with the microfibre cloth supplied. Avoid paper towels, household cleaners and alcohol, all of which can damage the coating. Store them in the pouch or box when they are not on your face.
Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days and arrive in 5–7 business days after dispatch, so 6–10 business days in total. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unworn items in their original packaging.
